Many clients believe that preparing healthy meals will require a lot of time on their part. While it may take more time than they’re used to, cooking healthy meals doesn’t have to require much additional effort. One way to help your clients stick with their nutrition is by encouraging them to prepare meals ahead of time and freezing them. Then, clients can have go-to meals ready to heat up and enjoy with their families when life gets crazy.

EatLove has over 800 freezer-friendly dishes that your clients will LOVE. Here are some of our favorite healthy dinners that clients can freeze.

1. Rigatoni Bake

This rigatoni bake is perfect for feeding the family. It has shredded rotisserie chicken, which makes preparation even easier on your clients! It also has tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella cheese. YUM! Plus, this bake has plenty of fiber, protein, and servings of vegetables.

Pro Tip: For best results when freezing, clients should prepare and cook the rigatoni bake. Then, cool it to room temperature. Once it’s cooled, the rigatoni bake can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months! When your client is ready to enjoy it, they just have to heat it up in the oven.

2. Easy Beef Chili

There’s nothing better than a warm bowl of chili on a cold evening. It’s hearty and fills the body and soul. Our Easy Beef Chili simmers on the stove for about an hour before it’s ready to eat. It has ground beef, cumin, fire-roasted tomatoes, beans, and more. The secret ingredient? A tablespoon of cocoa powder. Once cooked, this Easy Beef Chili can be stored in the freezer.

Pro Tip: Want to share a pro tip with your clients? Tell them to store the chili in individual servings to make it easier to heat up single portions for lunch or dinner later on.

3. Indian Chicken Coconut Curry

Curry is a staple of Indian cuisine, and this Indian Chicken Coconut Curry is easy to make and full of flavor. It has coconut milk, garlic, ginger, cardamom, turmeric, and other traditional spices. Your clients can make the curry ahead of time and freeze it. It will be just as creamy and delicious as the day they made it. When clients are ready to eat it, they just need to prepare some rice or cauliflower rice to serve with the beautiful chicken curry sauce.

Pro Tip: Clients can also prepare their rice in advance. If they choose to use cauliflower rice, like the recipe suggests, they can chop up their cauliflower, place into an airtight bag, and store in the freezer for up to 4 months. But premade cauliflower rice in the freezer section of the grocery store is often just as good in terms of nutritional content. If clients choose to serve the curry with white or brown rice, they can cook it ahead of time and store in an airtight bag for up to 1 month.

4. Freezer Bean & Cheese Burritos

Burritos are a classic freezer food, and they can actually be made very easily at home. The benefit of our frozen burritos is that they are healthier and contain vegetables, while premade burritos at the grocery store don’t offer as much nutritional value.

These burritos have black beans, corn, spinach, brown rice, cheddar cheese, and salsa on whole wheat tortillas. And to prepare them, your clients don’t even have to do any cooking! They just need to mix up the ingredients and roll up their burritos.

Pro Tip: For best results, clients should wrap their rolled burritos in a paper towel and then in a piece of foil. Each burrito should be wrapped individually. When clients are ready to eat a burrito, they should remove the foil and heat up the burrito inside of the paper towel.

5. Beef & Bean Burgers

Another great go-to for clients is frozen hamburger patties. But we aren’t talking about the ones you buy at the store. Instead, clients can make these Beef & Bean Burgers at home and freeze them. The benefit of our patties over all-beef patties is that beans are high in protein and fiber. And they are a great source of lean protein, which is healthier than animal-sourced protein that contains saturated fats. Excess saturated fats are linked to higher risk of heart disease and other health conditions. Health facts aside, these beef and bean patties are delicious and easy to make.

Pro Tip: Your clients can prepare the patties ahead of time and then freeze them. They can stack the patties by placing a sheet of wax paper in between each layer. Then place the patty stacks in a freezer bag. When it’s time to heat the patties up, just turn on the grill or fire up the broiler. Of course, they’ll want to have some fixings for their burgers — buns, tomatoes, lettuce, condiments, etc.

6. Weeknight Chicken Fried Rice

Another international star on this list is our Weeknight Fried Rice. It takes just 20 minutes to make, so clients can throw it together in a pinch. Your client can freeze the leftovers or the entire dish. Just make sure the rice has cooled down before putting it in the freezer.

Pro Tip: Help your clients understand the role of portions. While the recipes we provide are balanced, they are only balanced in the proper portions for your client. Eating too much of a healthy thing can be just as bad as eating a little of an unhealthy thing. In EatLove, we provide a pie chart that represents how much of a dish to portion out.
